You all know I’m a serious threat to use a wrench on an automobile anytime, anywhere. But you may not know that I’m also an above average (slightly) home improvement guy as well. I don’t usually tackle those projects without serious incentives or threats. But this one could no longer be delayed.
I was just minding my own business driving down the road at lunch time last week and happened to glance over at the parking lot of a decent local Mexican restaurant. I had to look back twice to make sure I really saw what you see here, and when I realized what it was I had to go back and get some pictures.
I see this cool van all the time in my town, now I’ve got some up close photos and the inside is better than the outside! This is a kid’s daily driver, he even delivers pizza with it! I didn’t get to talk to him so I don’t know any details. I have heard there is an old VW restorer in town and I wonder if this is his kid.
Here’s a 71 Chevelle that I saw at the Dixie Vintage Auto Club show. I do not know if it’s original (probably not), if it is a true SS (probably not), or came with the 454 (probably not). I just don’t care. I LOVE this car. This is everything a muscle car should be, and I bet it is incredible to cruise around in this thing with the top down.
How often do you see a RAMPAGE? I’ve seen the same Ferraris and Lamborghinis several times in the last few months. But it’s been 18 months since I’ve seen another RAMPAGE!
Last Saturday the Dixie Vintage Auto Club had an auto show during the Hoover Cycling Festival at Spain Park High School. I took the kids and took a few photos. I’ll have a few others featured in the next few days. Enjoy.
