This is a great story that shows what a group of determined people can do in a short period of time.
I really hate to have to post this one, it really does hurt my eyes. But that is what this website is (mostly) about… the weird and wacky stuff on the street. So for your viewing pleasure I present a semi-donked formerly-classic GTO convertible.
I have starting working a second job at Advance Auto Parts again, so I may be posting more or less, I’m not sure which yet. It would be hard to post any less than I have the last two months, so I suspect that I will end up posting more. When I worked there two years ago I found lots of good stuff to post.
I was shocked to see this late 1980’s Lumina APV still reasonably intact and on the road in 2009. These vans were so horribly unreliable that 99% of them were junked long ago. Most of the body is plastic, and was another step in the development of GM’s plastic body panels which finally found success in with the Saturn SL in 1991. It was not uncommon to see these APV’s with pieces falling off when they were less than 10 years old.
Another sighting of the elusive local R8, West Oxmoor heading up the hill to Bluff Park. One day I’m going to find it parked and get some better photos. Sorry for the photo quality, I had to grab the camera and shoot through my ruined windshield.
We’ve seen one of these before, here is another 1979-1985 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz still in excellent condition. Enjoy.
