The Jeepster was built by Willys-Overland from 1948-1950. Only around 20,000 of these were built in those three years. It was an attempt to make a more normal, family friendly Jeep. The quirky design was created by famous industrial designer Brooks Stevens, but it didn’t appeal to the mass market.
This Jeepster at the Krispy Kreme Kruise In appears to be used fairly regularly. This is no garage queen, you can see the damaged paint on the hood. You can also see that the interior has seen plenty of use. It’s good that a truly unique car like this is driven and enjoyed.
