1968 Chevrolet Nova
1968 Chevrolet Nova

Since my first car was a 1972 Nova, you can imagine how happy I was to see this beautifully restored 1968 Nova at the Krispy Kreme cruise-in.  I talked to the owner and got the full story.

The owner bought a similar Nova brand new in 1968.  He sold it a few years later, but regretted selling it.  He bought this Nova about 10 years ago with only 60,000 miles on it, then completely rebuilt it how he wanted it.  The gold color is not originial on this car, but was the color of his ’68.  He took out the 307 V8 with Powerglide powertrain and replaced it with a crate 454 big block and four speed manual transmission.  He also added all the “SS” trim and the 427 emblems since there was no 454 engine offered in 1968.  It is a nearly perfect Nova built for less than an average condition first generation Camaro sells for.
