Can you believe that Ford sold over 300,000 of these per year from 1977-1979? Me neither. The 1977-79 Thunderbird was downsized from the 1973-76 version, but looked similar. The standard engine was the 302, but you could get a 351 or 400 also. T-tops were an option also.
The one you see here is a 1979 version in a lovely light blue with wonderful white-wall tires on custom rims. This one has obviously spent a long time sitting outdoors, but is running and probably about to be pimped to h3ll and back. I took these photos in the DMV parking lot (notice the new tag) and actually saw it driving down the road (slowly) about 10 minutes later.
