My next ride was another Civic and it was Wife 1.0’s car when we married. Honda didn’t offer an EX Civic for another year or two so this was the top-line Civic for the 80’s. It was a 5-speed which made it extremely fun to drive with great gas mileage, and all the usual power goodies that are expected these days.

Ours was metallic gray, like the one shown here. When I sold my ’86 Civic (in ’93) this became my daily driver for almost a year. I really liked this car, it was a sleeper that would keep up with my ’86 all day long but was more refined and a better car in every way without a second look from the Fuzz. I liked it so much that I bought another one almost 8 years later to use as a daily driver.
