1973 Dodge Dart

1973 Dodge Dart

Here’s one I actually know a little bit about.  The owner works with me at Advance so I see this one on a regular basis.  It has the weak but bulletproof slant six engine and auto tranny, column shift of course.  I doubt the bucket seats were stock but who knows, I forgot to ask him.  But he drives it daily, so major props for Mikey.

New Chargers

New General Lee
New General Lee

Some of you are already aware of my strange fascination with the new Chargers. If not, you do now. This General Lee has to be the best one evah! This guy works near me and I’m going to get better pics soon. Pictures do not do this one justice, despite the questionable taste this “conversion”(?) is extremely well done.

“There is no substitute…”

I don’t see too many of these still around, the non-turbo version have apparently are just not worth the (huge) expense to keep them running. This one is in good unrestored shape, but is clearly daily-driven. And since it’s a true Targa you get all the leaks, rattles, lack of security, and annoyance of a convertible without it actually BEING a convertible. When it’s not in the shop of course. This has to be one of the best front license plates ever…

RAMPAGE!!!

RAMPAGE!!!
RAMPAGE!!!

O.K. S.O.T.S. fans, this one is so rare that I have literally seen more Ferraris here than this one. These were rare even back in the day, to see an actual one running now is like finding a spotted owl in your tree. What could be better than an early-80’s Dodge Omni? An early-80’s Dodge Omni WITH A TRUCK BED!

If you are going to bother getting the R/T “Daytona” package, you might as well go all out. The only thing better than this “Plum Purple” version would be a lime-green one. Which they do make, of course. By the way, the tag on this one said “PLMCRZY”.

Probably the coolest of them all is the new Police package, which I’m sure you have all seen by now. These make some of the meanest cruisers in a long time. Here is the Jefferson County SO version. I have seen the new Ala. Trooper version and it is the best yet. I hope to get pictures of it soon, but NOT parked behind me…

1979 Chevy Nova

1979 Chevy Nova

This blog is an idea I have borrowed from one of my favorite auto websites. Not that any of you guys care, but every day I somehow manage to see some cool and/or odd stuff on the road in this town. And I’m dorky enough to snap a few cell phone photos and upload them, and add my usual smart-a$$ comments. So enjoy…
